AugmentShop: The Next-Gen Product Finder
Task
Research and Building strategy for an Augmented Reality based shopping experience MVP.
The Challenge
A technology services company approached us with the requirement to design an MVP for an Augmented Reality Shopping Experience application. The main aim is for the user to be able to search for products in the store and then use the Augmented Reality map based navigator to help them find their products easily.
We immersed ourselves in the world of Augmented Reality from the word go. Extensive research and product documentation helped us narrow down features for the MVP.
From assisting with the research – both general and competitive audits to working closely with them on the requirements and features of the MVP – we supported the client in every possible way we could.
Since we have multiple use cases and probably more features to consider, the team is continuously working with the client to ensure that everything is in for this first phase is in place.
The preliminary research and requirements formed the base for the initial storyline. Every draft of the user journey story went through iterations – with multiple use cases, that had to happen. With an initial story in place, an interactive prototype was demoed to the client.
We’re currently at this phase where we are continuously working on improving the user journey story, pondering on edge cases, and doing more research into AR and the ecosystem to understand user behaviour to help with the features of the application.
